Somehow the website has survived the past few years of neglect. It needs a lot of updating…

Since the last blog post over 2 years ago, Marked by Love has:
* welcomed Janine & Doug’s first child
* been in recording sessions
* said goodbye to Erin and her husband as they moved to Zambia
* welcomed Celeste’s second child
* opened a Twitter account (@marked_by_love)
* submitted another donation to Ethembeni from funds raised for “Things Thought Impossible”
* welcomed Erin & Chris back home to Canada
* had the vocalists participating in various services and events
* participated (as a full group again, wuhhoo!!) in the Huntsville Corps 125th anniversary weekend
* participated in the Guelph Citadel Band Concert
* been waiting patiently for the two newest Marked by Love babies, both due in December - Erin’s first, and Janine & Doug’s second
* been anxiously awaiting approval to go ahead with the CD project

Well, we just shared in our first event of 2009, sharing in the youth celebration event on Friday, February 27th which kicked off the Guelph Citadel 125th Anniversary Weekend. We enjoyed sharing and making music with the Georgetown Community Church worship team and the Christian rock band “Church On Fire” (also based out of Georgetown corps).

April will see the group return to the Toronto area for a few events, including the Palm Sunday service at the North York Temple corps (April 5th) and a musical evening at Scarborough Citadel. We’re definitely looking forward to these opportunities to share our music and message in the GTA.
